Captain Sandeep R Anand is the Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Director of Premier Heavy Lift (PHL Group), bringing over four decades of invaluable experience to the organization. A dynamic and visionary leader, Captain Anand has played a pivotal role in shaping PHL Group into a leading name in Crane Rentals, Mechanical EPC, and allied services. The company is known for its commitment to excellence and innovation under his leadership.
An esteemed alumnus of T.S. Jawahar, India’s premier maritime training institute (1984 batch), Captain Anand is a Master Mariner (1993, Foreign Going Vessels) with more than 22 years of sea-going experience. During this time, he commanded a diverse range of vessels and handled a broad spectrum of cargos, including containerized goods, bulk, break-bulk, liquid cargo, as well as reefer, project, and steel cargoes. His deep maritime expertise is further complemented by his certification as an Integrated Maritime Auditor and Assessor from the American Bureau of Shipping, reinforcing his proficiency in maritime safety and governance.
Before founding PHL, Captain Anand enjoyed a distinguished 17-year career at Allcargo Logistics Limited, a leading organization in the logistics field, where he served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Over the course of his tenure, he successfully led initiatives that propelled the company’s growth and expanded its market presence, leaving behind a legacy of sustainable success and innovation.

With over 40 years of unwavering commitment to the construction industry, Som Dutt Sharma has left an indelible mark. His journey began as a contractor for the Indian Railways in the 1990s, where he specialized in building bridges and platform shelters.
Som Dutt Sharma’s pioneering spirit and dedication led him to a significant milestone in 2001. He played a pivotal role in the revival of construction work for India’s first metro, the Delhi Metro. His expertise in structural steel work was instrumental in the success of this groundbreaking project.
Som Dutt Sharma is a business graduate from Delhi University, which has provided him with a strong foundation in business management and strategy.

With a rich and diverse background, Anil Kumar Chaudhary has made significant contributions to the construction industry. His journey began with a strong educational foundation, completing his Civil Engineering degree from Delhi College Of Engineering. Later, he embarked on a distinguished career as an IRSC (Indian Railway Service of Civil Engineers) officer of the 1983 batch.
Anil Kumar Chaudhary dedicated over 22 years of his professional life to the Indian Railways, with his last posting as Chief Engineer in Bangalore. His tenure in the railways was marked by remarkable achievements and contributions to the country’s infrastructure.
Anil Kumar Chaudhary brings a wealth of experience and expertise to PHL. His strong educational background, coupled with years of service to the Indian Railways and his role in founding PHL Services, makes him a key figure in the company’s success.

We started in 2006 from a small office in New Delhi, India and bought 2 unit 50 Ton Cranes to start our journey. With the zeal to always strive hard and grow our assets we currently have over 350 equipment’s in our asset base and have a total Tonnage of more than 21,000 Metric Tons. In addition, the defining moment in PHL growth trajectory arrived when it executed a strategic takeover in 2023 of the crane rental division of AllCargo Group, one of the top leaders in the crane rental space in India. This acquisition, conducted through a slump sale, was a game-changer, propelling Premier into the upper echelons of the industry.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of this acquisition was the addition of AllCargo’s impressive cranes, with a gross block valued at INR 550 Crore. This strategic move not only bolstered PHL asset base but also enhanced its capabilities, allowing it to take on even more ambitious projects and serve an ever-expanding client base.

Premier Group revolutionized the crane rental space by offering comprehensive turnkey solutions to customers across diverse sectors, including metros, roads, bridges, railways, buildings, and refineries. Today, the company safely transports and lifts over 5,000 tonnes of load daily, a testament to its commitment to safety and efficiency.
In 2014, Premier Group took a bold step into ground engineering works by acquiring a majority stake in Ipex Infrastructure. This strategic move expanded the company's capabilities to provide turnkey solutions for all underground works, including piling works, grabbing works, shoring system walls, secant pile walls, sheet pile walls, rock anchoring, contiguous pile walls, and renting of all related machinery.
Premier Group's commitment to excellence transcends geographical boundaries. In 2016, the company secured a bridge redevelopment project from IRCON International Ltd. in Sri Lanka. This endeavor marked a significant milestone as Premier Group ventured into a new geographic environment, demonstrating its ability to excel in harsh conditions abroad. Remarkably, all manpower and machinery were mobilized from India for this project.
Premier Group made significant inroads into the EPC space. In 2019, they secured a substantial tender directly from IRCON International Ltd., a government PSU, valued at 250 crores. The successful completion of a challenging 1.7 km bridge project for DFCC in Maharashtra, amidst the complexities of black cotton terrain and a lengthy monsoon season, marked a pivotal achievement. This success opened doors to larger opportunities in the EPC domain.
In 2023, Premier Group made a groundbreaking acquisition by acquiring the Allcargo Crane Division, one of the country's largest crane rental companies. This strategic move, executed as a slum sale, was unprecedented in the crane rental industry. It further solidified Premier Group's position as a leading player in the crane rental sector and expanded its footprint, especially in the windmill sector.
